Get AI Business Advice

After onboarding, PaperLink can generate a personalized recommendation for your team. Describe your business activity and the AI suggests which PaperLink features to start with and how to set up your workspace.

When the AI Advisor Appears

The AI Business Advisor modal appears automatically in two cases:

You complete the onboarding tour (the guided walkthrough of PaperLink's interface)
You skip the onboarding tour

The modal appears once per team. If you have already completed or skipped the advisor for a team, it does not appear again on future logins.

How to Get a Recommendation

When the modal appears, you see the title Tell us about your business and a text field.
Describe what your business does. For example: "I sell cars and send proposals to potential buyers" or "I'm a freelance designer sending invoices to clients."
The text field accepts 10 to 500 characters. A character counter shows your current count.
Click Get recommendation.
Wait while the AI processes your description. A loading spinner shows "Generating your personalized guide..."
The recommendation appears under the heading Here's how to get started. It references specific PaperLink features by name - Data Rooms, Invoices, Clients, Estimates - based on your described workflow.
Click Got it to close the modal.

You can type in any language. The AI responds in your interface language regardless of the input language.

Skipping the Advisor

Click Skip at any time to close the modal without generating a recommendation. You can always access the advisor later from the help menu.

Re-Running the Advisor

To get a new recommendation or update your business description:

Click the ? help button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Select Get AI advice from the options.
Type or update your business description.
Submit to receive a fresh recommendation.

The new recommendation replaces the previous one. Only the latest recommendation is saved.

What Gets Saved

Your business description and the AI recommendation are saved to your team profile. This data is associated with the team, not your individual account. All team members can see the saved recommendation when they access the advisor.

Rate Limits

The AI Business Advisor is limited to 3 requests per team per hour. If the limit is reached, a message indicates that you should try again later.
